Cheap fitted kitchens is there such a thing?

So many people are in search of the holy grail of kitchens, the cheap fitted kitchen!  The thing is at CK Installations we honestly don't believe there is such a thing as a cheap fitted kitchen.

The term cheap and fitted kitchen reminds us of so many homes we have visited where the customer has bought what they believed to be a cheap kitchen only to find out it's actually a complete nightmare kitchen, poorly made, with shoddy workmanship and less than brilliant appliances.  The only reason we were called was to help the homeowner create a well-built, great value and beautifully fitted kitchen.

Sometimes old sayings ring so true even today "buy cheap, pay twice" the saying isn't exclusive to fitted kitchens but to all manner of items we buy today.  Look for great value and fantastic quality, cheap is often a byword for poor quality.

So what's the alternative to a cheap fitted kitchen?

The only real sound alternative is to buy a great value, well-built fitted kitchen that will last a long time.  Consider the maths for one second.

If you buy a cheap fitted kitchen for £3,000 and it starts falling to pieces in 2 years, then that equates to £1,500 per year.  Whereas if you buy a great value well built fitted kitchen for around £5,000 it should easily last 15 years or more, this equates to only £400 per year or £33 per month, that's just shy of only £1 a day!  When you consider how much the kitchen is at the heart of most homes £1 per day is small change for a space that can feed so many, brew so many drinks, keep so much food chilled and provide so much comfort for everyone.
